LaFayette Mainstreet hosted Love LaFayette event

Over 100 individuals from around the LaFayette area came out, despite the rain, at the Love LaFayette event on Saturday. The event took place in downtown LaFayette.
The event was hosted indoors at various local spots. The weather forecast was not looking great but we still wanted the opportunity to show LaFayette’s loving spirit! said DeAnna Hand, Mainstreet Executive Director.
“We refused to let the weather stop us and continued to an indoor hosting plan, which at the end of the day, only helped and made the event even stronger. Community Members visited, shopped, ate, and didn’t rush off. It was great to see all businesses packed full and see so many join in conversations!”
The event was not only about gathering the community together — but it was also about supporting our small businesses and encouraging people to shop local said Hand.
Local vendors provided great shopping, amazing food, and even offered Valentine portraits from a local photographer. Over 25 vendors participated, and many sold out of their merchandise due to the success. All vendors and businesses were invited to participate and there was no cost or vendor fee. Many vendors donated items for the successful silent auction to market their products and add some competitive fun for the locals.
“Saturday’s event was beyond amazing. The love and support shown from the community was unmatched and we had so much fun that we hated for it to be over. We are praying and hoping that it becomes an annual event!” said Krave Korner’s Alesha Presley.
