Lady Rebels Softball
After struggling to get hits against Calvary Christian and falling 3-9 earlier in the week, the Chambers Academy Lady Rebels bounced back against Ezekiel Academy. Chambers trailed 0-1 until their bats got hot in the bottom of the second. With one runner on, Allie Paschal homered on a fly ball to right field to take the 2-1 lead for the Lady Rebels. Mary Riddle then hit an RBI triple and scored on a wild pitch to extend the Rebel lead 4-1.
Ezekiel hit their own homer in the top of the fourth to cut the Chambers’ lead 4-2, but the field and the mound went to work getting the next three batters out. The Lady Rebels then scored a run in the bottom of the fourth when Lyla Conway knocked in Pascal.
After giving up one run in the top of the fifth, the Lady Rebels battled back with Makayla Foster and Olivia Daughtry picking up RBIs to secure a 7-3 lead. Chambers had a big sixth inning with Gabby Coleman adding an RBI double and both Foster and Daughtry hitting two run homers.
Ezekiel did add a three run homer in the top of the seventh, but the Lady Rebels had already sealed the win 12-6.

Even with Grant Jones striking out two batters in the first, the Rebels still gave up two runs as they faced Macon-East. Macon-East added runs in the second, third, and fourth while Chambers struggled to hit, causing the Rebels to trail 0-5 heading into the 7th. Eli Whorton doubled to start off the final inning, and Landon Hand singled, knocking in courtesy runner Hayden Hendrix. Peyton Yerta recorded his own RBI single, but the Rebel comeback fell short as they dropped the game 2-5.
