The Lady Rebels went two for three on the first day of the state playoffs. The Lady Rebels beat Patrician 5-2. The Lady Rebels got the lead in the first inning when Patrician walked two and MaKayla Foster hit a double on a line drive to left field. The Rebels wouldn’t score again until the fifth inning. With bases loaded, Lanie Lackey hit a hard ground ball to right field to score two runs. Chloe Mitcham is credited with the win, allowing seven hits and two runs in the seven innings. She struck out seven and walked one. Bailey Allen, Carley Forbus, Lackey, Foster and Mitcham all had one hit each in the game.
In game two, the Lady Rebels faced Southern Academy. The Rebels lost 3-2. Bailey Allen went 2-for-3 at the plate. Allen also led the team with two stolen bases. Mitcham took the loss, allowing seven hits and three runs. She struck out three and walked one.
The Lady Rebels faced Lowndes Academy in game three. The Rebels won 9-1. Makenzie Gilliland got things started when she grounded out, scoring two runs in the first inning. The fourth inning, the Rebels scored four runs thanks to a single by Chloe Mitcham and a double by Makayla Foster. The Rebels had 11 hits for the game. Mattie Reese and Lanie Lackey lead the Rebels at the plate with two hits each. Mitcham took the win, allowing one run and three hits while striking out three and walking one.
On day two of the tournament, the Lady Rebels faced Patrician again. The game was tied 3 all in the fifth inning but Patrician scored five runs in the sixth inning. The Lady Rebels fall 10-5 to end their season with a fourth-place finish in the AISA AA division. Lanie Lackey and Carley Forbus led the team at the plate with two hits each. Mitcham took the loss. Allowing nine runs on eight hits.
