Saugatuck Township Fire District first responders joined mutual aid peers from Graafschap Saturday helping Hamilton Fire snuffing a Heath Township grain dryer fire called in at 7:06 p.m. “It was a tricky fire,” said STFD IT Director Erik Kirchert, whose crew also brought a tanker and ladder truck, knowing just spraying water inside “could have catastrophic structural impact.” Grains were first dumped out at the bottom of the dryer to be extinguished.
