Gobles Pine-Grove fire chief retires

GOBLES – Following more than 30 years of service to the Gobles Pine Grove Fire Department, Patrick Wioskowski was recently honored with a state Special Tribute from Sen. Aric Nesbitt and State Rep. Pauline Wendzel.
The Special Tribute read in part, “It is with a deep appreciation for the sacrifices he has made on behalf of the citizens of Southwest Michigan, that we congratulate Patrick Wioskowski on his retirement from the Gobles-Pine Grove Fire Department after thirty-two years of service……Having pursued one of the most noble causes sought by public servants, Mr. Wioskowski represented the cherished institution of firefighting with professionalism and integrity. The heroic work associated with this pursuit was met with an unwavering sense of duty to those he served.”
It concluded, “In his time as Fire Chief, Mr. Wioskowski’s love for his community was undeniable. He took great pride in fostering comradery amongst local departments and the firefighters within them. Mr. Wioskowski greatly enjoyed getting to know his fellow community members and having a positive influence on their lives. As he enters retirement, Mr. Wioskowski will be remembered and respected by his community while he spends more time with his family.”
