GOBLES – Coach Greg Barber’s Gobles Lady Tigers started the season off with a 52-39 road win at Watervliet last week
The Tigers were led by Charlotte Zantello with 19 points and seven rebounds. Kenadi Killeen added 12 points and 15 rebounds.
“On Friday the Tigers hosted Saugatuck and never were able to get on track, losing to Saugatuck (55-20),” Barber said.
The Tigers have a busy week hosting White Pigeon on Monday Dec. 11, Kalamazoo Christian on Tuesday and traveling to Martin on Friday.
Gobles boys basketball
Gobles boys were 0-2 last week with a home loss to South Haven 58-21 and Saugatuck 41-24.
Gobles is scheduled to be at Lawton on Dec. 12 and at Martin on Dec. 15
There’s also a game at Marcellus on Dec. 19.
Paw Paw wrestlers
PAW PAW – Paw Paw’s wrestling team beat Battle Creek Lakeview 58-14 last week.
Winners for Paw Paw were Dominic Hernandez (165), Gavin Turk (175), Fisher Edwards (190), Austin George (215), Braylen Kennedy (285), Owen Hamre (120), David Pokorney (126), Bryce Barnett (138), Zachary Peak (144) and Tyler Perkkio (150).
Paw Paw lost at 157, 113 and 132 pounds. There was a double forfeit a 106.
