Ford driver injured in crash with log truck

Damage to a Ford Escape was severe when it collided with a log truck on Ludington last Thursday.

A Lake area woman, 21, was injured May 18 when she collided with a log truck near Lake.
A release from the Clare County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was traveling north in her Ford Escape, hit an eastbound log truck driven by a 38-year-old Baldwin man.
The crash was reported around 1:41 pm. It happened near Lake Station and Ludington Avenue in Garfield Township.
A portion of Ludington (US 10) had to closed down for a brief time be while the vehicles and debris were removed from the scene.
The female driver was taken by Mobile Medical Ambulance personnel for treatment of potential injuries.
Assisting at the scene were the; Garfield Fire Department, Clare County Road Commission and Michigan State Police Motor Carrier.
The crash remains under investigation.
