By Pamela Whitlow

LaFayette Mainstreet kicked off its second Summer Food Truck Festival last Friday.

What started out as severe thunderstorm warnings with floods of rain all week literally up until the 4:00pm starting hour ended up being a night to remember of good food, good time, good fellowship, good music and good weather.

There were a total of 17 food truck vendors from all around Georgia and Alabama.
Entertainment and live music was provided by Going Home, Ryan Thorn and Ryan Meadows as well as Dean Sheffield!

There was also an ice cream truck to keep everyone cooled off! An arcade game area was set up for the kids to enjoy!
The highlight of the evening was the introduction of theLaFayette High School and Chambers Academy football teams and coaches.
