The Lady Eagles kicked off their District tournament on Tuesday night against Leroy Pine River in Evart. After a tough loss to Meridian on Friday night, 63-37, the girls took second in the conference and turned all their attention towards the District tournament.
Remi Sponseller dropped 19 points against Pine River, Raini Sponseller had 10, Jaiden Sharrow with 8, Macy Campbell for 5, and Rachel Odykirk pitched in 2 for a final score of 44-24.
Wednesday night the Eagles faced off against the Evart Wildcats in the district semifinal and trailed just behind them until the very end. As the clock ran down, the Wildcats stalled the clock for a 50-36 win over the Eagles. Evart will be advancing to the District Final against Lake City tonight (Friday) at 7pm in Evart.
