Last Friday the Eagles took a trip to Beaverton for a conference game and walked away with a 47-30 win. Farwell had another very dominating offensive game with Raini Sponseller scoring 22 points overall, her sister Remi following with 12, and Jaiden Sharrow with 7.
After a three day break the girls were back at it against Harrison, and showed once again that they do not let off the gas. Harrison couldn’t keep up with the Eagles and fell short with a 44-17 final score. Although the girls’ individual points weren’t as high, they worked as a team to make sure as many people scored as possible. Raini Sponseller finished with 14, Remi Sponseller and Haiden Cassiday both had 8, Jaiden Sharrow followed with 6, Macy Campbell with 5, and Rachel Odykirk and Laura Silijestrom-Vello each with 1 point.
Farwell is still second in the conference, but with the momentum this team has built, it’s hard to say if Meridian has it secured. Next week the Eagles will face off against Roscommon in Farwell and then Clare will be hosting the Eagles on Thursday, February 9th.
