William (Bill) Faber was sworn in by Clare County Clerk Lori Mott last week to fill the Clare County Drain Commissioner seat.

William (Bill) Faber has been appointed to fill the remaining four-year term of former County Drain Commissioner Carl Parks, who recently died of cancer. Faber, one of several applicants for the County position, was an assistant to Parks for about four years.
His appointment will run through January 1, 2025.
A Harrison resident and former Clare graduate, he has been a lifelong resident of Clare County. and, for over 40 plus years has been the owner of a small business, Faber’s Barber Shop in Harrison, now in the same location for the past 27 years.
He is a 30-year member of the Harrison Sportsman’s Club, on the Board of Directors for 20 years and a past vice president. He is also the vice-president of the Clare County Fair Board and Agricultural Society for the past three years. He has been on the board for five years.
