LAWRENCE – Lawrence Village Park will see an expanded Craft Fair during the Lawrence Ox Roast & Homecoming, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 2 and 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, according to the craft fair organizer.
“We have always had a few crafters; but this year, we have made a more concentrated effort to make it an organized Craft Fair,” said Judy Martz Gambill, craft fair organizer. “We are excited to have the center of our park filled with 23 booths, hosting 24 different artisans, along with Pink Zebra, Mary Kay, Tupperware and Pete the Blacksmith,” said Martz Gambill.
She continued. “We will have hand crafted jewelry, wooden signs, baked goods, Amish woven rugs, sublimated tumblers, fairy gardens, freeze dried candy, scrunchies… the list goes on,” said Martz Gambill.
Martz Gambill said the ages of the local southwestern Michigan entrepreneurs range from early 70s to the youngest at age 7. “By the way, she might be a little late; she has to finish the Ox Roast and Homecoming’s 5k Watermelon Run first,” said Martz Gambill.
“A show is only a success if the community comes out and supports it,” she said.
