EVART – According to published media reports, Jesse Stanley Mobley, 37, of Evart, was arraigned on Tuesday, April 26, in the 82nd District Court of Roscommon County on charges of fleeing and eluding; reckless driving; driving while license revoked, second offense; no insurance; and unlawful use of a registration plate.
Reports cited a Roscommon County Sheriff’s office press release that in the county’s Markley Township a suspicious woman was spotted at a vacant resident and she had been picked up by a female. Deputie spotted the vehicle in Denton Township in Roscommon County and stopped it, But then the vehicle took off.
Reports indicated a pursuit of 53 miles through three counties which started going west on M 55 into Missaukee County at speeds exceeding 100 miles an hour and south on 8 Mile Road onto M-66, into Osceola County and through Marion.
The female eventually, after the vehicle slowed, jumped out of the car according to reports and later the driver ran from the vehicle and a foot pursuit began.
He was later apprehended and authorities discovered he had several warrents out of Big Rapids, Reed City and Osceola Couny and his driver’s license was revoked.
It was reported he been arraigned Feb. 12, 2021 in Osceola County in 49th Circuit Court on single counts of assault with intent to murder, assault to do great bodiy harm less than murder; assault with a dangerous weapon; destruction or injury of personal property greater than $1,000 but less than $20,000; aggravated assault and operating a vehicle while license suspended or revoked. He pled not guilty to all charges.
