The 35th annual Covert Community MLK Celebration was held Sunday, January 15, at Covert High School’s auditorium. Keynote speaker was Dr. Michael Scott, Sr., of Galilee Baptist Church, Kalamazoo. Celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the event featured musical selections from the MLK Community Choir, and words from The Ministerial Alliance, and Covert Public Schools Superintendent Yolanda Brunt. Master of Ceremonies was the Rev. Charles Knox of Mt. Calvary Church, Pullman.
