PAW PAW – In November 2022, Michigan voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment that gives voters the right to vote early and in person at Early Voting sites before statewide and federal elections. Voters now have three options for voting: Early Voting, Absentee Voting and Election Day Voting.
The new Early Voting allows a voter to cast a ballot before Election Day, in an experience similar to voting on Election Day. During the Early Voting period, voters are issued a ballot and can then insert their ballot directly into a tabulator at their Early Voting site. Municipal clerks within Van Buren County voted unanimously to engage with County Clerk Suzie Roehm to establish one centrally located Early Voting Polling Site for the county.
The Early Voting Polling Site location is in the Human Services West Building, 57418 CR 681, Hartford. Early Voting for the Presidential Primary will be Feb. 17 – 25. The site will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day except on Wednesday, when hours will be noon to 8 p.m. All registered voters in Van Buren County can vote at the site during the Early Voting period.
