Commissioners approve $200k purchase for parks

MARION – At its meeting on Tuesday, the Osceola County Board of Commissioners approved having the Credit
Account Management Policy, the Expenditure Procedures policy and the Personal Appearance policy updated and amended as presented.
The commissioners also voted to approve the proposed updated and amended sick leave policy as presented.
In other action, it was decided to have the Board of Commissioners’ mileage reimbursements be paid by direct deposit.
Approval was given for the Board Chair to sign the Resolution for Fair Housing as presented.
Also approved was for the Clerk’s Office to purchase a Vault Ladder from Global Industries for $382.54.
The board voted in favor of Parks borrowing $200,000 from the County to finish paying for the Crittenden Park bathhouse. The loan will be paid back once the DNR Grant reimbursement is received with balance of the loan being paid back to the County within a year.
Board members OKed the 2023 Survey & Remonumentation Grant Agreement.
Commissioners approved having the Sheriff Department work with BCBS on a contract for Inmate Healthcare. The contract will be reviewed by the Personnel & Administration Committee.
Commissioners voted to release the individual from purchasing the Annex as it appears the Reed City Planning Commission will not rezone the property.
Commissioners voted to withdraw the zoning application that was submitted to the Reed City Planning Commission.
The board voted to approve a resolution to support the removal of the Natron Dam.
