MARION – The Osceola County Board of Commissioners approved at its Tuesday setting the selling price of the Annex at $179,000.
“We’ll take offers, though,” commissioner Tim Michell of Marion said.
Commissioners also approved the Building Department to issue refunds up to the amount of $25,000.
The board approved the Building Department job description for the position of Permit Technician and authorized the Building Official to advertise for a full-time Permit Technician at Grade 8 step 1 thru 11 based on experience.
“This will replace the former building department secretary,” Michell said.
Board members also approved having the Building Official
to advertise for and hire a part-time Plumbing Inspector for two days a week.
“Our other inspector passed away,” Michell said.
Commissioners voted to approve the Commission on Aging to
accept the donation of $4,000 received and to use the donation to purchase bookcases and tables to establish a library.
“It’s a library for the COA,” Michell said. “A section of their building will be a library. They had some donors give some money.”
