Clare’s Girls Soccer team showed their resilience and determination in their last two games, playing through tough weather and injuries to earn two hard-fought victories.
On Monday, they traveled to Brethren and emerged victorious with a 5-1 win. And on Tuesday, they hosted Shepherd and won 1-0 in a nail-biter of a game. Kaydence Pung was the hero of the match, scoring the game-winning goal in the second half.
The game was marked by strong performances from both teams, with Jones making a crucial save in the final seconds to secure the win for Clare. Sofia McKinney also stood out on defense, helping to keep Shepherd at bay.
Overall, it was a great showing from Clare’s Girls Soccer team, who proved that they have what it takes to overcome adversity and emerge victorious.
The girls will host Norther Michigan Christian School tonight (Friday) at 5:00.
