Calling all art lovers.
The City of Plainwell is once again hosting its annual Art Hop, featuring the works of local artists on display throughout the downtown area.
The event is slated to take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 10.
As always, this year’s Art Hop will feature artists from various backgrounds and disciplines. Pottery, quilts, photography, acrylic painting, jewelry and sketch art are among the mediums that will be on display.
Also featured will be artwork from local students. Plainwell elementary students will be displaying their work at the Ransom District Library, while middle school and high school students will have their work on display at Design Street.
Art Hop began in 2010 and has taken place each year since with the exception of 2020, when it was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic.
Maps of the participating businesses and artists can be found at plaiwnell.org.
Maps will also be available at Plainwell City Hall (211 N. Main St.) and Bridge St. Gallery (111 N. Main St.). Those who get their map signed at six participating venues—with Ace Hardware, Barbed Wire Café and Cornell & Associates three that must be included—can enter for a chance to win one of several drawings.
