Andrew “Andy” Ochss 72 of Farwell, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Toni & Trish House, Auburn, Michigan. Andrew was born September 18, 1949, in Bad Hall Austria the son of Jacob Ochss and Eva (Dewald) Ochss. Soon after graduating high school, Andy began his college education and eventually earned 2 bachelor’s degrees. Mr. Ochss worked several years as an Assistant Retail Manager with the Rite Aid Corporation. Andy was united in marriage to Janice Mary Martinsky on February 12, 2005, in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Mrs. Ochss preceded Andrew in death on November 17, 2020, after fifteen years of marriage.
Andy had resided in Farwell since 2007, moving from Sterling Heights. Andy attended Living Hope Lutheran Church of Farwell, Michigan for several years. Mr. Ochss was an avid golfer and televised sports fanatic.
Surviving Andrew are his four step-children; Angie Sawicki and husband Tim of Ionia, Michigan, Sue Lipinski and husband Bill of Saline, Michigan, Jen Long and husband Dave of Harrison Township, Michigan and Steve Fisher and wife Shannon of Roseville, Michigan, nine grandchildren; Melissa Looman and husband Adam, Tyler Sawicki and wife Kate, Alana Sawicki, Jay Lipinski, Anna Lipinski, Nathan Lipinski, Nicholas Stierle, Robbie Stierle, Zane Fisher and two great-grandchildren; Emery Looman and Henry James Sawicki also a second cousin and friend Ed Goettl and his beloved dog, Ruby. Mr. Ochss was also preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Matthew Stierle.
