The winning ways continued for the Allegan girls swim & dive team.
The Tigers remained undefeated in the SCC with a 104-78 win over Marshall on Tuesday, Oct. 3
Maddie Antkoviak provided one of the highlights for Allegan, qualifying for the MHSAA State Finals in the 50 freestyle with a winning time of 26.10. This marks the third event in which she qualified, as she had previously done in both the 100 and 200 freestyle events.
Bailee Dilley won the diving competition with a season-best score of 205.40, followed by teammate Callie Borst.
Eliza DeLaet also had a season-best performance in the 500 freestyle (6:02.89) and won the 200 individual medley, followed by teammates Lizzy Ehrich and Odessa Barnhart as Allegan went 1-2-3 in that event.
Other winning performances for Allegan came from Bella Festering in the 100 and 200 freestyle, Lilli Kelley in 100 backstroke and Lizzy Ehrich in the 100 breaststroke. Kelley also placed second in the 50 free.
In addition to her 50 free victory, Antkoviak also won the 100 butterfly, followed by teammate Grace Kelley in second.
The Tigers captured first place in all three relays: Kelley, Ehrich, Antkoviak and Barnhart won the 200 medley relay; Festering, Iciar LaFont, Grace Kelley and Antkoviak won the 200 free relay; and Grace Kelley, Festering, Ehrich and DeLaet won the 400 relay.
