The Allegan girls swim & dive team defeated Alma 96-63 on Saturday, Sept. 24, in a five-team quad meet that also included Plainwell, Otsego and South Haven. Allegan hosted the meet, in which Alma competed separately against each team.
The Tigers defeated Alma in each of the 12 events, but also had a number of overall wins against all attending schools.
Individually, Lilli Kelley won the 200 individual medley, while Bella Festerling won the 50 and the 100 freestyle.
The medley relay team of Mikayla Reimink, Lizzy Ehrich, Maddie Antkoviak and Festerling placed first, as did the 400 freestyle relay team of Reimink, Eliza DeLaet, Antkoviak and Festerling.
Other top performances included Callie Borst (third in diving), Sarah Suarez (third in the 200 freestyle), Reimink and Antkoviak (second and third, respectively, in both the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly), DeLaet (second in the 100 freestyle), Kelley (second in the 100 backstroke) and Ehrich (second in the 100 breaststroke).
The medley relay team of Olivia Penrod, Kelley, DeLaet and Suarez placed third overall, while the 200 freestyle relay of DeLaet, Suarez, Odessa Barnhart and Kelley placed second.
