ALLEGAN – Allegan County Sheriff’s Department reported that Allegan County Central Dispatch on Christmas Day evening received a call from a passerby regarding a crash on 104th Ave east of 32nd St in Trowbridge Township.
Deputies say first responders arriving on the scene found the driver and sole occupant, a 35-year-old male from Allegan, deceased. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and the preliminary findings indicate that the GMC SUV was westbound on 104th Ave when it left the roadway and struck a tree. It did not appear that the driver was wearing his seatbelt.
At this time, the identity of the driver is being withheld pending family notification. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Allegan Police Department, Pinegrove Fire Department, and LIFE EMS.
