Marilyn Jean Walker, age 75, of Lake, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. She was born the daughter of Robert and Marguerite (Rummel) McGeorge, on January 16, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio. She married Charlie Walker in 1975, and he survives her. She had moved to the Mid Michigan area 50 years ago from Toledo. She had retired as a Secretary in the Financial Department of Central Michigan University, where she had served for over 38 years. Marilyn enjoyed tending her flower gardens. She and Charlie were members of the Lake Rod and Gun Club, the Lake Eagles, and the Clare-Farwell American Legion post.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Charlie, a close friend (“like a son”) Brian Gochet, and her brother, Dennis McGeorge. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ron, Bob, Doug, and David.
A memorial Celebration of Her Life will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 3P.M., at the Lake Rod and Gun Club. Her final place of rest will be in the Garfield Twp. Cemetery.
