Missaukee considers two new patrol cars

MCBAIN – Wil Yancer, Missaukee County Sheriff, reviewed a request for the purchase of two new patrol cars at the county board’s finance committee meeting last week.
The request includes waiving the sealed bid requirement and approve the sole source (state bid) vendor of Signature Ford in Owosso.
Yancer said the total price for both 2022 Ford Police Interceptor
patrol cars would be $84,850, requested to be paid from the Capitol Improvement Fund, funded by the delinquent tax revolving fund.
Jessica Nielsen, Clerk/Register, reviewed the grant application for remonumentation in 2023. She said state award is $45,141. The request is to approve the application and allow Nielsen to sign it since she is the remonumentation grant administrator.
Nielsen also requested the board approve the 2022 amended county apportionment report. She said the only change to the report since it was approved earlier this year was to Lake Township During the November election, the township approved a fire millage request at the November 2022 ballot. Item added to board agenda for action.
Liz Vogel, County Administrator, introduced the new Building Inspector James Mouch to finance committee members.
Mouch reviewed the request to amend the Building Department inspection and related fees. The request is to make the new fee schedule effective January 1, 2023.
