PORTAGE—The Otsego boys bowling team came out firing on Saturday, Dec. 3, as the Bulldogs bested Portage Central in the opening day of Southwest Michigan Bowling Conference action.
Otsego had a 845 in the first game, with a high score of 204 from sophomore Connor Farrish. Sophomore Jacob Underwood shot a career-high 160, with Jack Ordway, Dylan Towne, Tanner Anderson and senior captain Gavin Merrill also contributing.
The Bulldogs lost the second game by 10 pins, but took totals for the extra point to win the match.
The Otsego girls, meanwhile, dropped a close match to Portage Central. Senior Haley Beazley—making her high school debut—and junior Alicyn Klok were among those to play well for the Bulldogs.
