Alice I. Hilyard, age 81 of Owingsville, Kentucky, formerly of Farwell, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 in Morehead, Kentucky. Alice was born the daughter of Fred Edward and Retha May (Hill) Kinney on February 8, 1941 in Evart. She was united in marriage to Danny G. Hilyard with him predeceasing her on January 4, 2021. Alice had been a member of the Clare Farwell American Legion Post 558 Auxiliary. She enjoyed Yard Sales, tending to her flowers and plants, playing Kings in the Corner and completing word find puzzle books. Alice enjoyed nature, whether it was feeding and watching the animals out her back window with Danny or taking in the landscape of Kentucky.
Alice is survived by her children, Dana (John) Townsend of Stanton, Greg (Julia) Hilyard of Harrison, Nicole (Ron) Pingilley of Mt. Pleasant, Bob (Jenny) Sheldon of Owingsville, Kentucky and Mya Hollis of Mt. Pleasant; two siblings Rosie Ripley and Fredrick Junior Kinney both of Big Rapids; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her parents; two brothers Ed and Jim Kinney and a daughter Marge Bott.
Visitation and services are planned for Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Northwoods Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 1 P.M. with Pastor Jim Shuster officiating. Burial will follow in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery.
