The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release noting deputies are investigating a homicide.
Deputies say it happened on a property off 104th Avenue, east of 56th Street, near Pullman in Lee Township, around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
A woman called police and said her ex-husband shot her in the head.
When deputies arrived, they found the woman alert, but say she had been shot several times.
The woman told the sheriff’s office that, after she was shot at a nearby home, she was able to drive away in her car and call 911.
Deputies then went into the home where the shooting happened and found a 21-year-old man, dead from apparent gunshot wounds, laying in the driveway.
The sheriff’s office says the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.
