The McBain Northern Michigan Christian soccer team certainly had a memorable season. Their impressive campaign came to an end on Saturday however, when the Comets lost a Division 4 regional championship game at Big Rapids, 2-0 against Leland.
Leland was able to score a goal just over three minutes into the game, and added another goal before the break, making it 2-0 at the half.
NMC finishes the season 15-4-4 overall. The Comets did win their third straight Northern Michigan Soccer League championship and claimed their second straight district crown however.
