Marcia Ann Powell age 76 of Clare, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Marcia was born March 28, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Orville Murphy and Gladys (Dingman) Murphy. Marcia was united in marriage to Mr. Rox J. Powell on March 15, 1965, in Saginaw.
Mrs. Powell had resided in Clare since 2004, moving from Harrison and previously from Saginaw. Marcia was a member of New Hope Fellowship Missionary, Loomis, Michigan. Marcia enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, assembling jigsaw puzzles, cooking meals for her family, gardening and decorating her Christmas tree uniquely each year.
Surviving Mrs. Powell is her loving husband and best friend of fifty-seven years, Mr. Rox J. Powell Sr. of Clare, five children: James Powell and wife Virginia of Lake George, Vicky Powell of Texas, Rita Brewer and husband Thomas of Clare, Rox Powell Jr. of Farwell and Timothy Powell and wife Kimberly of Wisconsin, fourteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one sister, Judy Murphy of Clare, two brothers: Don Murphy of Louisiana and Henry Murphy of Meredith, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-in-law, Denise Powell and nine siblings.
Celebration of Life services honoring Mrs. Powell will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. from New Hope Fellowship Missionary Church, 9115 Pere Marquette Road, Clare, Michigan with Pastor Charlie Green officiating.
