MCBAIN – Missaukee County will be having various candidates on the ballot for offices during the Nov. 8 election.
For Missaukee County Commission, Republican Lan Bridson is the only candidate in District 1 and Frank Vanderwal the lone candidate in District 2.
Pam Niebrzydowski, no party affiliation, is running unopposed for the District 3 commission seat. Republicans Roger Ouwinga in District 4, Dean Smallegan in District 5, Star Hughston in District 6 and Gary E. Gladu Jr. in District 7 are running unopposed.
Tim Smith is on the ballot for the lone six-year term as county road commissioner.
For McBain School board members there are two six-year terms on the ballot, Kevin Eisenga and Mathew J. Kline are the only two candidates. Dennis Heucker is the only candidate for one two-year term for the school board.
For the 105th House representative district, it’s Democrat Adam J. Wojdan vs Republican Ken Borton. For the 36th district state senate seat, it’s Democrat Joel A. Sheltrown vs. Republican Michele Hoitenga.
Democrat incumbent governor Gretchen Whitmer is running for another term against challenger Tudor Dixon. For Secretary of State, it’s Democrat Joclyn Benson vs. Republican Kristina Elaine Karamo. For attorney general, it’s Democrat Dana Nessel vs. Republican Matthew DePerno.
