This SUV reported Sunday at 2:58 p.m. vanishing full-speed into woods off I-96 a mile north of Saugatuck Exit41 was found by Graafschap Fire Department Chief Doug DenBleyker wedged under heavy tree limbs. Crews cut a barbed-wire fence to reach the driver, who was taken by AMR ambulance to Holland Hospital, reported IT Director Erik Kirchert of the Saugatuck Township Fire District, which assisted. More resources were requested to remove trees and allow a wrecker access to the vehicle, work completed by 4:55 p.m. Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies and the Michigan State Police also helped on scene.
