On Saturday, October 15, 2022, the Junior Ambassadors from the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce completed a one mile roadside pick up initiative on County Road 289 from North Eighteenth in Lanett north towards Fredonia. The ambassadors have adopted this one mile section as a part of the Alabama PALS program. This roadside clean up is also a initiative by the Chambers County Commission to keep roadsides clean.
