The Michigan State Police (MSP) Paw Paw post will host an open house, Friday, Oct. 28, from 3 to 6 p.m. on its grounds, 43255 60th Ave., Paw Paw.
The event is free to the public. MSP specialty teams will be present to showcase the latest cutting-edge technology and gadgetry used in the performance of their duties. Those interested in a career with MSP will also have an opportunity to speak directly with a recruiter.
Additionally, car seat checks will be available and qualifying families will have an opportunity to obtain a free car seat. Post personnel are planning a family-oriented fun day for children, highlighted by a Trunk or Treat. Costumes are encouraged.
Several area churches will sponsor trunk or treating events throughout the area, as well as area towns, where regular trick or treating hours have been set.
4 Churches 4 Jesus will hold its trunk or treating on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church.
The Lawrence United Methodist Church will hold trunk or treating on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw, will offer trunk or treating Friday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Village of Lawrence will hold trick-or-treating on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Village of Lawton will hold trick-or treating on Monday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The Village of Mattawan will hold trick-or-treating on Monday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Village of Paw Paw will hold trick-or-treating on Monday, Oct. 31, with no designated time.
The Downtown Paw Paw Safe Trick or Treating trick or treating event will start at 3 p.m., Oct. 31, and continue until 5 p.m. The Spooktacular Pet Parade will start at 2:30 p.m. For more information, contact Mary Springer at (269) 415 – 0060.
Tapper Auto Group, Paw Paw, will hold a Trunk or Treat event, Saturday, Oct. 29, from 3 to 5 p.m.
