Debra Lee Northrop, 67, of Allegan, Michigan, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Born March 7, 1955, in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Duane and Dixie (Green) Grauman. Debra worked at Armintrout Tree Farm from age 15 to 17 and after graduating from Allegan High School, she immediately went to work for Perrigo for 28 years before retiring. Debra was a workaholic and was always very dedicated to her jobs. She was the type of employee every employer wished to have. Though she loved to work, she also knew how to play and enjoy life. Spending time playing bingo, going to the casino and traveling to Vegas were all activities Debra enjoyed. She also liked to bake and was even known to many as the “Pumpkin Roll Lady.” Debra loved upper Michigan and enjoyed traveling to Mackinaw Bridge and walking across it until her M.S. got too severe. Collecting eagles was a fun passion of Debra’s and she loved her American flag. Debra was blessed with two children, whom she adored.
Debra is survived by her son, Stan Northrop; daughter, Stacy (Justin Harrison) Northrop; siblings, Duane Jr. (Michelle Frampton) Grauman, Dawn (Walt) Morse, Dorothy (Kevin) Frampton, and Douglas (Treesa Edson) Grauman; her sisters-in-law, Kate Grauman and Cindy Lickley; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will meet with friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at which time the Memorial Service will begin. The family wishes to thank all those that have reached out during this most difficult time.
