Herschel Richard Figg, 93, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022. He was born September 10, 1929 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of James L. Figg and Bessie (Gasaway) Figg-Stanley.
Herschel was united in marriage to Ethel Mae (Stair) Figg on Sept. 18, 1956, at Full Gospel Assembly, Hartford.
In addition to his wife, Herschel is survived by his son, Martell (Sherry) Figg; eight grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren; one sister, Norma (James) Yarbrough and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Riley Stanley; two sons, Mahlon Randy Figg and Mallory Rusty Figg; and one brother, James L. Figg, Sr.
Services were held Saturday, Sept. 17, at Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, with the Rev. Lonnie Truelove and the Rev. Shannon Truelove officiating. Burial took place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan.
