The Paw Paw Police Department and Paw Paw Walmart recently sponsored Public Safety Professionals Night. Organizers said the great turn out saw participation from numerous local agencies and organizations, including Michigan State Police, Van Buren County Sherriff’s Office, Lawton Police Department, Decatur Police Department, Bangor Police Department, Mattawan Police Department
Paw Paw Fire Department, Van Buren Emergency Medical Services, Bronson Hospital and Great Lakes Drone. It marked the first time for the event for Bronson and Great Lakes Drone, who works closely with area public safety agencies in rescues and assisting in locating fugitives. Bike give away winners included Wyatt, of Gobles and Alexandra, of Paw Paw. The bikes were donated by Walmart. Over 200 backpacks were handed out during the event.
