Obituary: Elder Scotty Joe Stowes

Elder Scotty Joe Stowes, 66, of Opelika, AL passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at his residence.
Public Visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. CST until 6:00 p.m. CST, at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Graveside Services will be Sunday, July 24, 2022, 11:00 a.m. CST, at Dadeville City Cemetery in Dadeville, AL, Pastor Yohuntas Matthews, Officiating, Associate Pastor Ryan Stowes, Eulogist.
Elder Stowes is survived by his wife, Evangelist Shirley Stowes; seven children, Damien Stowes, Sharonda Stowes, and Dominique Stowes all of Montgomery, AL, Robin Evans of Dadeville, AL, Joshua (Theresa) Denson of Atlanta, GA, Quinton (Tasha) Denson of Opelika, AL, and Stephanie Denson of San Francisco, CA; four brothers, Robert Stowes, Stanley Giles, and Michael Giles all of Dadeville, AL, and Terry (Berta) Stowes of Alexander City, AL; four sisters, Juanita Alexander of Alexander City, AL, Bernita Stowes of Opelika, AL, Nancy (Luther) Morgan, and Mamie (Frankie) Giles both of Dadeville, AL; 30 grandchildren: two aunts, Virginia Russell and Virginia Cox both of Dadeville, AL; a brother-in-law, Michael Veasley of Dadeville, AL; a special friend, Mr. Samuel Burns; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
