Florence “Flo” Fluty, 84, of Gobles, MI and Punta Gorda, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, May 29, 2022, at her home on Baseline Lake surrounded by her family. She was born August 26, 1937, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Frank and Dorothea (Belton) Baker and lived in the Gobles area for most of her life. She was a devoted Christ-follower and was a member of the Lawrence Community Church.Flo loved making memories with her children and family and was a confidant and mentor to all of them. She also enjoyed collecting glass paper weights, researching family genealogy, and taking road trips around the country with Ron.
Surviving are her husband, Ron, whom she married December 6, 1968; 4 children: John H. (Bev) Clark III of Allegan, Paul T. Clark of Kalamazoo, Leward V. (Amy) Fluty of Bloomingdale, Joel Scott (Liz) Fluty of Delton; son-in-law: Paul Barrett of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren: Rebecca Fluty, Amanda Clark, Erica Clark, Abigail Fluty, L. Vincent Fluty, Jr., Emily Fluty, Kamden Clark; 2 great grandchildren: Damon Clark, Zane Clark; nephews: Jeff (Mary Ellen) Baker of Chicago, Jim Baker of Chicago, niece: Jen (Rob) Cubbage of Gobles; great nieces: Dallas Baker, Tylor Baker. Flo was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Renee Barrett, and her brother, David Baker.
The family will meet friends 3-5 PM Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, and 10-11 AM Monday, where the funeral service will be 11:00 AM.
