Deputies investigate fatal accident

ALLEGAN – Allegan County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to reports of a single motor vehicle crash in the area of 108th avenue just west of 34th street in Trowbridge township.
The crash wound up being a fatality.
Deputies located a minivan down an embankment that had collided into a tree.  The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling east on 108th Avenue and drifted across the roadway where it ran off the road, down the embankment and then hit the tree.
The lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as David Douglas Beagle a 62-year-old man from the Pullman, Mi., area. 
The exact cause of the crash is currently being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office reconstruction team along with the medical examiner’s office.
No further information is being provided at this time.
