Otsego High School hosted its 92nd Annual Honors Night on Sunday, April 24.
Students who earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the first two trimesters of the current school year were invited to attend. This year, 324 students qualified for the recognition.
Beginning sophomore year, students are also eligible to qualify for an academic award. To be eligible, students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75.
The academic awards are as follows: the first time a student qualifies, he or she earns a lamp of learning patch; the second time a student qualifies, he or she earns an academic pin; and the third time a student qualifies, he or she earns a plaque.
In addition to honoring the current students who are excelling academically, Honors Night also shined a spotlight on 2005 OHS graduate Kyle Nappo.
Nappo, an orthopedic surgeon for the military, received the Outstanding Alumnus Award.
