The City of Otsego is accepting letters of interest from individuals who would like to be considered for one of the two open seats on the City Commission.
Both terms end in November, at which time the new members of the commission could run for re-election if they so choose.
To be considered for one of the open positions, a letter of interest must be submitted that includes specific qualifications of the individual and any other relevant information. The letter can be mailed to Otsego mayor Stacey Withee (c/o Otsego City Hall, 117 East Orleans St.) or emailed to Otsego clerk Angela Cronen (acronen@cityofotsego.org).
To be eligible for consideration, the applicant must be able to verify that he or she has been a resident of the City of Otsego for more than a year. In addition, applicants must be a registered voter.
Letters of interest must be received by Wednesday, April 6, at 12 p.m. in order to be considered.
Additional questions about the open positions on the commission or the application process can be directed to Otsego city manager Aaron Mitchell at (269) 692-3391 or amitchell@cityofotsego.org.
The Otsego City Commission currently consists of three members: Withee, mayor pro-tem Laurie Krueger and Brent Milhiem.
