Shirley Jean Mearing, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at the age of 86. She was the daughter of Richard Shaw and Virginia Wiley.
She was a graduate of East Jackson High School, Jackson, MI in 1954. She retired from Paw Paw Wine Distributors, after many years of loyal service. She took great care and pride in the decorating of her home. Her love of flowers and angels was only overshadowed by her love of family and friends. Christmas decorating and spending time with family was always the highlight of her year.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert G. Mearing. She is survived by four children, Doug (Cindy) Lammers, Cheryl Lammers, Dan (Julie) Lammers and Mike (Jenna) Mearing; five grandchildren, Kelsey (Greg Napp) and Kyle Lammers, Erin (Ethan Santangelo) and Allison Lammers, and Lydia Mearing; and one sister, Linda Mae Shaw.
Services were held Tuesday, March 1, at Adams Funeral Home, with the Rev. Buddy Turner officiating. Burial took place at Cuddeback Cemetery, Paw Paw.
