Linda Louise Barker DeLoach was born in McDougal, Ark., April 29, 1942, the daughter of Lennie A. and Vivian Barker (Wells). Linda, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully in her home on March 4, 2022, at the age of 79.
Linda loved her family more than life. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with candy, treats, and loved every time they came to visit. She loved her Friday night dinner with friends and her in-laws (“The Wrinkle Club”) whom she considered family. She enjoyed her flowers, her garden, crocheting, quilting, the hummingbirds that visited her window every summer, and cooking holiday meals for her family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Bill DeLoach; their children, David (Cindy) DeLoach of Lawrence, Stacy (Bryan) Robinson of Kalamazoo, Jeff (Melissa) DeLoach of Lawrence, and Tracy DeLoach of Lawrence. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Linda is preceded in passing by her father, Lennie Barker; her mother, Vivian Barker Wells; and her brother, Marlin Barker.
The family had a closed visitation at Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, on Tuesday, March 8, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering for all family and friends at the Lawrence American Legion, 130 E. St. Joseph St.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
