The McBain Northern Michigan Christian girls basketball team was able to have their way with host Evart on Thursday, Jan. 6. The Lady Comets downed the Lady Wildcats 50-33 in Highland Conference play.
NMC played to an 11-8 lead after the first quarter and took control of the game by the half with a 28-11 margin.
Megan Bennett paved the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds, Paige Ebels had 13 points, six rebounds and five steals, Jada VanNoord had seven points and Alaina Rozeveld added six points and six rebounds.
Evart was led by Addy gray with 14 points and Emma Dyer added 11 points.
NMC (4-0 overall, 4-0 Highland) was at Lake City on Wednesday, makes the trip to Pine River tonight (Friday) and returns home to host Buckley Tuesday.
