David L. Grochowalski Sr., age 87 of Wayland, passed away on December 24, 2021. He proudly served in Korea, earning the rank of Corporal, before being honorably discharged. He was a devoted “car guy” his entire life, eventually realizing his dream of owning his own business, Wayland Motor Supply, for over 20 years.
He was born to John and Harriet (Bialis) Grochowalski on January 29, 1934, in Grand Rapids. He is survived by his children Kevin (Jennifer) Grochowalski, Pam (Steve) Rosendal, Julie (Ralph) Fluger; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Robert Hoekstra; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; son David; and brothers James and Raymond Hoekstra.
