Obituary: Danielle Joyce Slanker

Danielle Joyce Slanker- Our Queen, Tootie, Little momma, went to tend the gardens in heaven on January 26, 2024. She lived in Farwell with her husband Darrel Slanker. They married on June 14, 1980. He was the love of her life, and the absolute best bonus Dad to her children. He was so devoted to her when her health began to decline. Danielle loved to garden. Gardening was her happy place; out playing in the dirt. Her yard was beautiful. She loved MSU sports. If there was a football or basketball game on, you knew she would be cheering them on. She was a proud alumnus of Haslett High School and maintained friendships from her time there. She loved the beautiful homes that Darrel built for them. She had an amazing eye for design. Her home was as beautiful inside as it was outside. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She always wanted to know what her family members were up to. She adored her grandchildren and great grandbaby. She lit up when they walked into the room. Her passing has left a huge void in our lives, but we all know she will be watching over us from her garden in heaven. Danielle was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Tim Longpre and Bobby Ridenour.
