Obituary: Ms. Ashley Nicole Wilson

Ms. Ashley Nicole Wilson, 34, of Opelika died Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at St. John United Methodist Church, LaFayette at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Gregory Sutton officiating. Interment will be in Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery, LaFayette. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be Friday, January 19, 2024, from 2:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Vines Funeral Home.
Ms. Ashley Nicole Wilson was born on May 8, 1989, to Rickey and Cynthia Wilson in Chambers County. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, LaFayette and was educated in the Opelika City Schools. Ashley was the sunshine of her family and put a smile on everyone’s face. She was an angel on earth to all who knew and loved her.
Ashley is survived by her parents: Rickey & Cynthia Wilson, Opelika; one sister: Kellie Danielle Wilson, Opelika; one nephew: Logan Leando Wilson; five uncles: Bobby (Brenda) Ross, LaGrange, GA; Bennie (Judith) Wilson, Salem; Thomas (Yong) Wilson, Cusseta; James Wilson, Phenix City; and Arthur (Charmaine) Wilson, Atlanta, GA; four aunts: Katie (Henry) Johnson, Salem; Ada (James) Moffett & Opal (Michael) Vaughn both of Phenix City and Mary McDaniels, Hyatt, MD and a host of other relatives and friends.
