Clare boys basketball tops Farwell, falls to Ithaca

The Clare boys basketball team won their game against Farwell on Jan. 10 with a final score of 64-21. They also lost their game against Ithaca on Jan. 16 with a final score of 54-48.

In a Hudl highlights video of the game against Farwell, in the first quarter, Miles Haggart had two steals, Ryan Rodenbo had a steal, Dane Alexander had a three pointer, and Nic Porter had a steal. In the second quarter, Porter had a fast break, Ritchie Montgomery had a steal, and Alexander had a three pointer. In the third quarter, Montgomery had a three pointer and Haggart had a fast break.

In addition to the 64 points the boys scored, they also had a total of 34 rebounds, 11 assists and 12 steals. Their field goal percentage was 47%, their three point percentage was 33%, and their free throw percentage was 65%.

No stats for the game against Ithaca were found or available at the time of writing.

The Pioneers’ next couple of games will be against Beaverton and Remus Chippewa Hills.

Along with the 21 points that Farwell scored against Clare, they also had a total of 21 rebounds, two assists, nine steals and one block. Their field goal percentage was 25%, their three point percentage was 20%, and their free throw percentage was 25%.

The Eagles’ next couple of games will be against Shepherd and St. Louis.
