MARION – The Osceola County Board of Commissioners had it organizational meeting on Wednesday and acted on various matters including appointment.
David Turner, of Marion was re-elected as vice president of the board. Mark Gregory is in a two-year term as commission chairman.
The board voted to approve a Resolution for Tax Deferment for Elderly, Disabled, Etc. as presented in the board packet.
Commissioners also improved a resolution for County Investment Policy as presented in the board packet.
Commissioners also passed a resolution for County Depository as presented in the board packet.
Commissioner Tim Michell of Marion said he will continue to be on the Health Safety and Grounds committee as an alternate.
Michell was approved to the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan, Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan, to the county planning commission Mecosta Osceola Transit Authority (MOTA): Mid Michigan Community Action
Agency: MSU Extension District 6 Advisory Council: Northern Michigan Counties Assoc. Osceola Lake Conservation District.
Turner was appointed as chairman of the Health, Grounds and safety committee. He also sits on the finance committee and personnel and administration committee. He is also on the Local Emergency planning team.
